Time flies fast, yes we all know that. But didn’t 2022 go by really fast? Like it had a superjet or something.
Anyways, first things first, let me start by wishing you all a prosperous and successful new year! Hope you all are super motivated to achieve your new year’s resolutions. I AM! (Hope my inner procrastinator stays hibernated this year.
Now coming back to my ritual of sharing monthly agency updates, I have quite a few updates for you. Although December is traditionally a slower month for everyone, webdians kept themselves busy at the agency.
From working hard to celebrating harder, we didn’t let the holiday season slow us down.
So, yes like I said, I have a lot to share with you, and like always, I’ll keep it real and transparent. So, let’s jump to it!
Contrary to popular belief, email marketing is alive and well – in fact, 77% of marketers (according to HubSpot) have seen an increase in email engagement over the last year.
That’s why we decided to go all out with our holiday email marketing campaign for our Dew Lite website theme, which was available at discounted rates.
And guess what? It paid off – the campaign was a huge success, helping us nurture our existing clients and attract new customers.
We sent 5 holiday season emails that had an average open rate of 22.68%. Over 500 unique openings were achieved, and we’re sure our contacts loved the Dew themes!
So if you’re on the fence about email marketing, don’t be! It’s still a powerful tool in today’s digital landscape.

Paid ad marketing
If you have been following us for quite some time, you might already know that we tried paid ad marketing in 2021. But at that point in time, it didn’t give us the results we expected.
I have, this time, invested my time in researching and taking things into my own hands to experiment with paid advertising once again. Fingers crossed! Soon we will see if it works out.

Social Media Growth
Social media marketing is literally huge! I have all my eyes on leveling up social media marketing in 2023. But for now, let’s take a look at how we have grown in December.
Our LinkedIn page has been doing particularly well – we currently have 38,198 followers.
In comparison, the HubSpot tutorial LinkedIn page has 186 followers.
Overall, our social media audience has grown by 3.85% compared to the previous month.
But even more impressive is the increase in social impressions, which have gone up by 20.82%.
Here’s the thing – we actually reduced the number of posts we were making, so these results are even more impressive. All of this is great news for our team at webdew, and we’ll continue to focus on delivering valuable content to our followers in 2023.

In the month of December, we published 20+ blogs that covered a lot of interesting topics. Since it was the holiday season, the blog traffic did decrease, but we never went below 1.5K, while our highest was 4K.
I am always looking for ways to improve our website’s performance. SEO will be one of the major focuses in the coming months. This helps us to rank higher in search engine results, which is crucial for any organization that wants to keep growing.
Despite all the efforts our DA continues to be 35. Here’s a comparison of the traffic from Google Analytics for November and December.

New year resolutions
As I set my sights on 2023, my main focus is on achieving new business goals for webdew.
But I don’t want to just leave my resolutions as thoughts in my head – I want to turn them into a tangible strategic vision.
That’s why this year, we’re putting a strong emphasis on marketing at webdew. We’re committed to creating processes that will help bring our vision to reality.
Personally, I’ve also made a resolution to test and experiment with different approaches, so I can learn what works and what doesn’t before sharing my findings with the team and others. It’s a “learn, teach, and pass on” method that I’m eager to put into action.
