Analyze Form submissions in the Forms Analytical Tool in HubSpot

Once you have created a form, you can analyze and compare its effectiveness using the forms analytics tool and can also analyze form submissions from each form in the forms tool.

  • Go to Reports > Analytics Tools in your HubSpot account.
  • Click Forms.
  • Use the dropdown  Date range and Frequency to filter the data to a certain time range.
  • Use dropdown Form type to select the type of form you want to analyze.

Performance

The performance shows the high-level metrics of your forms. Green and Red arrows display whether the statistics in the current date range are higher or lower as compared to that of the previous period.

This segment has the metrics of all forms in your HubSpot account. If you select particular forms in the table below, then it will only include the metrics from the selected forms.

    • Views: this is the total number of views of all the pages. 
    • Conversion rate: this is the total number of all-time submissions divided by the total number of all-time views for your forms.
    • Submissions: this is the total number of times the forms have been submitted across all your pages.

Chart

The chart shows data from all forms in your HubSpot account. If you select particular forms in the table below, then it will only include the metrics from the selected forms.

  • Click the dropdown Submissions to select the report metric.
    • Form Views: this is the total number of views of all the page.
    • Submissions: this is the total number of times the forms has been submitted across all your pages.
    • Conversion rate: this the total number of submissions divided by the total number of views for the form. 

Table

Last in the analysis is Table.

  • To customize the metrics that appear in the table:
    • Click Edit columns.
    • Select the checkbox for each metric that you want to display.
      • Form type: this is the type of form like non-HubSpot forms, pop-up forms, regular forms, and blog comment forms.
      • Form Views: this is the total number of views of all the pages your form appears on. It includes both the HubSpot pages or external pages with the HubSpot tracking code.
      • Submissions: this is the total number of times the forms have been submitted across all your pages.
      • Conversion rate: this is the total number of all-time submissions divided by the total number of all-time views for the form.
      • Last modified: this is the last time the form was updated.
    • Click the cross sign X next to a property in the section Selected columns to remove it from the table.
    • Click Save.
  • Use the search bar to search for a specific form.
  • Click a column header to sort the form by that metric.
  • Select the checkbox next to a form name if you want to include it in the chart.
  • Select multiple forms to compare their impact in the chart.
  • To analyze a form's performance in a new tab click the name of the form.
